DesignStreet was an early innovator in terms of the introduction
of interactive elements into promotions. These include dedicated
websites, online registration and more recently SMS and Instant
Win concepts. DesignStreet pioneered innovations into promotional
marketing such as online activation, which is now commonplace
in promotions. A number of brands within Sony Australia are
cases in point, as are promotional activities for consumer
divisions within 3M, and Reckitt Benckiser.
Well-planned and well-executed promotions can add
significant value to a product or brand. For example,
two successive promotions for Hyundai Australia led
to the reversal of the declining trend in their accessories
division. Branded as ‘Accessorize’, the
promotion delivered an outstanding return on investment.
A core strength has been our ability to construct
cross promotion activity that serves to amplify the
impact of the messages and reach where there is synergy
between two brands. Typically each brand gains access
to the cross promotion partner’s distribution
channel, and enjoys cost effective exposure well beyond
what they would have achieved individually.
While our history has largely centred around multinational
